2021.12.08 18:27 tkallday_15 Hisense L9G or Optoma P2 w/ Screen?
Interested in creating a home theater with a UST (120in). I know that the L9G is the best out there currently, however I wasn't planning on spending 5k. Started to look into other options and it seems like the P2 is the best bang for your buck ($3200). The problem is is that I wasn't expecting nice screens to cost between 1-1.5k. At that point is it worth just going for the L9G since it's a better projector and comes with the screen. Does anyone know the quality of the screen that it comes with? Any advice would be appreciated.

2021.12.08 18:27 pianocat1 Looking for a deck that is serious but not gruesome
All of my decks are very lighthearted and pretty optimistic (Luna Sol, Tarot of the Divine, Spiritsong, etc). I'm looking for a deck that is a bit more serious and more honest, perhaps even dark, but I'm not a fan of the violent or gruesome imagery. Decks I've been looking at are Marigold, Sasuraibito Tarot, and Wild Unknown. Thoughts??

2021.12.08 18:27 annukai999 (Question J) On the "Grey's"
There has been talk about Grey's for decades now. And I'm wondering on if J can answer where they come from if J can sense the whole Free will law of confusion type thing.
Some way they are future Humans similar to what Bashar says but in Bashar case they are from a different timeline where humans evolved their selfs into the Grey's and now they were kinda stuck like that until the hybrid program was finished for them.
A different type of take on the Grey's that they are from the Zeta constellation or Orion in which I don't have that much information on.
An different take is that they are somewhat a Bio android use by Higher density beings has puppets and suit's.
It's a Infinity universe/Multiverse so who knows, if J can answer this where do they originate or origins?

2021.12.08 18:27 UnexperiencedIT Stablecoins and USDT vs USDC explained.
I will write this the way I understood without complicating things too much, and please if you notice some mistakes let me know so I can correct them.
Most of us know this but lets go through it - What is a stablecoin?
Stablecoin is a cryptocurrency whose value is backed by an external asset, for example most popular by market cap are USDT and USDC and they are backed by the US Dollar.
How come we have stable coins?
Well before there was no way for holders to move their crypto coins into a fiat backed asset without exiting the crypto ecosystem.
That is why people made stablecoins.
The point of a stablecoin is to remain in the ecosystem by holding a constant price. One USDC and one USDT = $1.
How are they always $1?
As long as the backing - external asset ratio remains true, one USDC and one USDT equals $1. The reason why people on this sub are not a fan of USDT is because they don't believe that all of it is backed by external asset. Since USDT is one of the biggest coins by market cap people are worried that if it goes down it will bring the whole market down.
So what is the difference between USDT and USDC?
- USDT was made by Tether Limited in 2014
- USDC was made by Centre Consortium, powered by the massive cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and Circle Internet Financial in 2018
- Audit Frequency (explanation "In auditing cryptocurrency transactions, auditors will need to examine evidence verifying ownership of the private key and evidence of the appropriate party to record the transactions. A sample of transactions in the wallet should be vouched back to supporting documents") in USDT is not regular, while in USDC it is on monthly basis.
So basically USDT often hesitates to release complete and frequent updates on how the coin is backed. On the other hand, USDC’s parent company Centre Consortium do that consistently and they are complied and positioned themselves well in regard to regulations, releasing regularly audited reports and so on.
Tether then tried stepping in by saying that they are fully transparent with providing daily updates and publishing the content of their reserves. StillCommodity Futures Trading comission is calling Tether to perform a full audit.
- Both are used for trading, but USDT has a higher trading volume and liqudity, and supports transfers on more number of blockchains.
- USDC is described as a trustworthy stablecoin because Centre Consortium is playing a safe card for potential tommorow government regulations and is fully backed by cash in a transparent way. Here you can see their monthly audits. You can download reports for every month.
So which one should you use? Final thoughts.
Well I will go with my thought, USDC. But I will also be honest and tell you that often I use USDT because some coins on Binance can be bought with USDT but not with USDC.
USDT is the most heavily traded, but Tether has to comply with investigations, audits and so on.
USDC is two steps ahead for government oversight (the potential one). And they are trully transparent.

2021.12.08 18:27 Maxpower2727 Thoughts on high-rise development in Sioux Falls
I've lived in this city for most of my life and have always wondered with frustration why we're so lacking in high-rise development downtown when compared to other comparable cities (especially with the huge amount of growth that has happened in the past 30-40 years). Even Fargo, a somewhat smaller city, has at several buildings which are significantly taller than anything here (the new Block 9 tower, the Radisson Hotel, and the admittedly ugly high-rise Lashkowitz high rise). I believe even the Sanford hospital there is taller than any buildings in Sioux Falls.
What makes it even more frustrating is that there have been a few proposals in the last few years that have gone nowhere. The aborted 15-story Village on the River fiasco most likely won't see any further development for years to come, and neither of the below proposals from 2015 ever went anywhere. The Steel District and Cherapa Place projects are both exciting but neither will be particularly tall.
Is there a particular reason why this is the case, or is it just a case of none of the major developers around here having any real ambition? Even Lloyd is mostly content to keep building 3-story apartments, Steel District notwithstanding.
